1 Conversation Diane is asking Gilbert about how his date went yesterday. (D = Diane, G = Gilbert) D: Hi, Gilbert. How was your date with Allison yesterday? G: Fine, thanks. I was really nervous when we met at the restaurant for lunch, though.

2 D: It was also her first date with you, so she was probably very nervous, too. G: Yeah, I guess so. Then, we started talking about various topics, including our friends, families, and hobbies. D: Good. It’s important to keep the conversation going on a first date. What did you do next?

3 G: Well, we went biking along the Danshui Riverside Bicycle Path. D: That sounds nice. Did you have a good time? G: Yeah, we enjoyed the beautiful views there. By the end of the afternoon, we were chatting happily together like old friends.
