4 Loran Station Timing and Control Equip. LORSTA Equipment…. Timing and Frequency Equip: uFirst Article Testing Ongoing at LSU u First Production Units Oct 2002 u First Install, George, WA Nov 2002

5 Loran Station Operations Room UPS OPS Room UPS:  All SSX Installs completed. u LorSta George completed. u Installation at rest of the TTX sites will start after X.25 to Frame Relay transition is completed (Spring 03).

6 Loran Station Transmitter UPS Transmitter UPS: u LSU Baseline completed  Jupiter Inlet, partially completed, transformer install pending u Malone and Raymondville completed. u George completed u Grangeville, 23 Aug 02 u Carolina Beach, 20 Sep 02

7 Loran Station Transmitter (circa 2003-2004) Replacement Transmitters New SSX Transmitter: u Factory Acceptance testing at Megapulse 12 Aug 2002 u LSU install Sep 2002 u George install to be completed Thanksgiving, 2002 u Kodiak back on the schedule for Summer 2003.

8 Loran SSX Switch Gear New SSX Switchgear:  Installed at LSU and LorSta Grangeville u Lorsta Jupiter and Carolina Beach scheduled for Sep 2002

9 Loran Station Remote Automated Integrated Loran (RAIL) RAIL:  5 LorSta’s participating in Limited Installation testing.  O’Scope Cards contract awarded Deliveries started arriving  Routers finally onboard LSU  Final Form Rail in FAT

10 Network Transition X.25 to Frame Relay LORSTA Equipment…. Routers: u Sprint terminating X.25 services by Jun 2003 (Dec 2002…) u MCI Worldcom selected to provide Frame Relay for Loran u Installations at the two control sites (NAVCEN & NAVCEN Det) and the 24 US PCMS sites slated to begin August 2002.

11 Loran Station Casualty Control Receiver LORSTA Equipment…. Casualty Control Receiver:  Locus LRS IIID u Installed at 5 stations George, Seneca, Jupiter, Carolina Beach and Grangeville u Resolving Master station auto-naming problem found at Seneca u Remaining receivers to be installed with final form RAIL installations

12 Loran Towers LORSTA Towers  Tower Study Completed  Critical: Port Clarence (1350’) PP estimates earliest possible move to Nome as 2004-2005

13 Monitor Sites (PCMS/SAM) Completed - 29 PCMS Sites (24 US, 5 Canadian) Locus LRS-IIID All-in-View Receivers
