Live Your Dream Will be a community that connects people online to do offline, hands-on volunteer work.

Live Your Dream Encourages participation in existing SIA programs through the Live Your Dream brand. Live Your Dreamers will come to LiveYourDream.org and: Choose which program or cause they are interested in: Women’s Opportunity Award Violet Richardson Award Soroptimists STOP Trafficking Teen Dating Violence Workplace Campaign to End Domestic Violence Choose the amount of time they want to spend

Example: Women’s Opportunity Awards Option 1: I only have a little time, but I really want to help. Find and encourage eligible women to apply for the award. Find local organizations that work with eligible women and ask them to promote the award availability. Post a link to the WOA application on your personal Facebook page and other social media outlets. Share the application directly with women who you think could benefit from the award.

Women’s Opportunity Award Option 2: I want to do more than just send an email. Assist applicants with the WOA application process. Help them fill out their applications thoroughly. Follow up with the applicants to see if they need additional help, and check to make sure they’ve submitted their applications on time. Offer applicants encouragement.

Women’s Opportunity Award Option 3: I want to do more for these women. Form a relationship with an applicant and offer support to help her stay on track to living her dreams. Some ideas include: Give advice about college or educational opportunities. Explore other scholarships and award opportunities she may be able to apply for; help her with the application processes. Help her with her resume and preparing for job interviews. Help her identify other resources that could make her life easier.

Live Your Dream The personal “Live YOUR Dream” component In addition to encouraging volunteer work, Live Your Dream will also offer participants inspiration, fun and the ability to connect with other like-minded people through Facebook, Twitter, blogs and other social media outlets.

What does Live Your Dream mean for clubs and members? It does not compete with clubs It can help clubs expand their reach and recruit new members It is a personal benefit to members
