4 Offered for the 4 rd Technology Exchange Forum, Tehran, Iran, June 2008 موسسه پژوهشي فن ‏ آوري ‏ هاي نوين در صنعت خودرو راه آهن جمهوری اسلامی ایران Using advanced AC system Advanced inverters with Skiip Semikron IGBTs Recovering brake energy by regenerative braking Noise-less especially at stand still and idle times Diesel generator downsizing from 1000 kVA to 50 kVA Better maneuver especially when the direction is changed Cost saving up to $700,000 / Locomotive Possibility of using the old system chassis and converting that to a very efficient modern system Cruise control option outside the station yard Able to carry 10 wagons with 400 Tons pay load Up to 60 km/h at zero slope
