Geography is MORE than just Maps! Geography is more than maps! It is basic to any understanding of how to get from one place to another—in your head or on paper! Did you know that you can find the exact location of anywhere on Earth?!? It’s true. You can use the Global Positioning System, or GPS! The GPS is a system of 24 satellites that all work together to create an exact view of the Earth. You have probably seen GPS systems in cars, and you probably have one on your phone. One of the most common uses of a GPS system is in a car or boat. At the touch of a button, you will be able to use satellites to tell you the quickest way to get to where you’re going (even if you’re not lost!). But, you can also use some systems when you are walking, like Google Maps. Using your knowledge of GPS, Longitude, and Latitude you will be creating an advertisement for a GPS system! In your ad please be sure to create a title of your product, image of the GPS system, and informa tion about how longitude and latitude will help you find your destination! USE COLOR and BE CREATIVE!!!
