2 Project Plans & Objectives System integration: Develop thermal / electrical / mechanical behavioural models of drive components Build library of drive modelling tools Drive level optimisation, integrating subcomponents System level optimisation studies based on multiple coupled drives Hardware-in-the-loop demonstrator

3 Project Plans & Objectives Enhanced functionality: Explore materials, technologies for high temperature drive operation (>200 o C) Increasing power density at low ambient temperatures Potential new markets at high ambient temperatures (>300 o C) Proof-of-concept testing and technology demonstrators

4 Potential Outcomes & Exploitation Plans Increased drive performance and enhanced reliability based on optimal component integration Reduced cost / design time for multi-drive systems Increased drive power density Opening up new commercial opportunities for drives at higher ambient temperatures
