ePortfolio integration project

Logging in Click this button to be sent to the single sign on page. DO NOT use the local account log in below

Single Sign on If you already have an account on our website your log in will be the same for ePortfolio. If not we are in the process of creating you an account. You will receive an email on your go live date with your log in details. After entering your details and clicking log in you will be automatically rerouted to ePortfolio. If you forget your password you can reset it by clicking here and giving your registered email address

View as a trainee Details on your roles, your current supervisor, location are kept here. You can click on my profile to see your profile info and ‘log out’ to log out of the system Trainees can make a quick note here and save to their timeline to be turned into an event later

The timeline Orange for items in draft/not completed Green for completed items Create WPBA, Dev log, Skills log, PDPs by clicking here:

Filtering the timeline Filter between any two dates. Filter only a specific type of event or filter a menu item by clicking blueprints. E.g to see only WPBAs click select under blueprints and then choose menu - assessments Filter at any time by clicking the magnifying glass

Adding an assessment or other event as a trainee If you’re a trainee just click create event on your timeline to create a brand new event. All of the forms from ePortfolio and ASSET can be found in this one place.

Adding a DOPS Choose your event type. In this case DOPS. All events must have a start and end date. Descriptions will help find events easier on the timeline. Make sure to fill this in with relevant information. Trainee can then add an optional message and send on to the next user by searching or by adding their email address.

Filling in on same device If you’re with your trainee you can ask them to set up an assessment and fill it in whilst you’re next to them. Click fill in on same device. After you fill in and click publish you must sign this off from your own account to ensure it is being filled in by another user.

Adding a supervisor Whilst College Tutors and admin staff can still add a supervisor for a trainee we’re now pleased to say trainees can add these for themselves as they’re done outside the training post which is still added by LETB staff. To add your supervisor click ‘add a clinical(educational) supervisor) chose the dates you’d like them to have access to your timeline (we recommend adding 2-3 months after your post to allow time to complete the ESTR) and then search them by typing in the box)

Documents/Personal Library Documents can be uploaded to the document library or straight into an event.

Private/public events and documents Events and documents can be made private in the same way as in NHS ePortfolio. Click moved to shared or move to private to go between the two. They’re clearly marked in red if they’re in private. Your supervisor will not be able to see anything marked as private

FAQs/Help Click to look at the content of a particular FAQ. Any issues please email ePortfolio@rcpch.ac. uk Do not contact NHS ePortfolios about any issues with the RCPCH portfolio after 20 th Jan. ePortfolio@rcpch.ac. uk

Settings and the To Do list The to do list is the same as in ASSET and can be accessed by clicking on the bell. When you have assessments to fill in it will turn red and give the number of assesments to be done. Settings. Click the cog to set up your device for offline mode. This will be battery heavy but will allow you to add events in offline mode and upload when near wi-fi. Do not set up on public computers

Tagging (linking) to the curriculum To tag to the curriculum open up an event and click ‘tag event’. You can then see only the curricula you have access to and tag them to the event by clicking on the blue ‘tick’ box. Go through the levels of the curriculum by clicking on the arrow or search all available curriculum items for a specific search term

Supervisor log in Your timeline will have a list of logs of events you’ve filled in for others. We will be providing a report to allow you to monitor this for revalidation in the future

Adding events/supervision forms for your trainees Click the user list to see your linked trainees. Click more to add an event or view their documents and training. You can also search by name, RCPCH or GMC number by clicking the magnifying glass in the menu bar

Adding a supervision ‘event’ Click new event to create a supervision form for your trainee. The events are the same as the forms on the current ePortfolio
