1 Lesson Thirteen Christmas  Questions:  Do you know anything about Christmas ( time and reason )?  Please tell us what you know about it  ( Father Christmas, Christmas tree, presents)?  Do you know the origin of it? ( Jesus Christ )

2 Qustions  What is the writing style of the story?  How many parts can we divide the text into? And why?  What was the best present did the author give to his father at the Chrstmas when he was 14 ( the theme)?  Can you retell the text roughly?

Simile 2. metaphor  1. a direct comparison between two unlike elements  “as, as…..so, like”  E.g.  As cold water to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.  as cunning as a fox, as poor as a church’s mouse  The world is like a stage.  2.
