5 STORIES.The Tell-Tale Heart. The Angel Of The Odd.The Balloon Hoax. The Black Cat.Eleonora 5 SHORT STORIES AND 5 POEMS 5 POEMS The Raven Alone Annabel Lee The Bells Dream-Land

Edgar Allan Poe was a man of many talents. One of which included his ability to write poems and books. Edgar experienced a very rough life some events include his mother, sister and his wife/cousin dying from tuberculosis, which you can hear about in the story “the mask of the red death.” Poe would often right horror stories. For this reason he was know as the father of the modern day horror stories/poems. Some of his work would include very detailed murdering and deaths. He often suffered from depression. Because Poe was depressed he would drink a lot, which is one of the theory's of why he might have died. One of his first poems was “The Raven.” This poem made him very famous though he only received 14 dollars for the poem. Little kids would often come up to him and say “Raven” and he would make Raven type noises. BIOGRAPHY

Many found it weird that Poe married a 13 year old who was also his cousin. After Virginia, his 13 year old wife, passed away due to tuberculosis, he got remarried. He purposed to his second wife in grave yard, which people also thought was weird. His poem Annabel lee was based on his actions when Virginia died. He would often go and sleep on her grave mourning over her death. As you can see, Poe wasn’t the most sane man on earth but, was one of a kind genius. CONTINUED…..

I think the theory that’s most accurate for the mysterious death of Edgar Allen Poe is the theory that he had mental medical problems. As you can tell by reading some of Poe’s stories, I feel it’s obvious that he wasn’t completely right in the head. The fact that Poe could come up with some of these stories without having some kind of mental condition is illogical to me. Whether his child hood caused him trauma or the war he was in caused him trauma, something must have went wrong at some point because the descriptiveness of his stories when people are getting murdered are so cruel and real like. YOUR THEORY ON POE’S DEATH

My favorite Poe story would have to be the Tell-Tale-Heart. This is my favorite story because it is disturbing yet intriguing. The amount of detail he uses when he kills the old man with the glass eye is absolutely mind blowing to me. The fact that someone who has never murdered someone in their life can come up with some of the stuff he writes is scary but amazing. Some of his stories, such as this one, kind of make you want to believe all of his stories were really going on during his life. This was one of his best talents. It was to make something that was so unbelievably untrue sound so realistic. Many of these types of stories were going on in his head so he made them come to life. MY FAVORITE STORY….

Many of these types of stories were going on in his head so he made them come to life. The red death was symbolic of everyone that was close to him that died. This is another reason why I find it so interesting. It has so much meaning and passion behind it. FINISH PARAGRAPHS ON YOUR FAVORITE STORY

In conclusion, I personally enjoyed every story/poem we read written by Edgar Allan Poe. Whether it was his intriguing descriptions of everything that went on during the stories we read or the sympathy I felt for him about everything he went through during his child and adulthood. He was overall an amazing story writer that knew how to draw people in. Some things he did would perceive him to be creepy but overall he was just a damaged soul that released himself through imaginative poetry and story writing. Poe will always be remembered as the “Father of modern day horror.” (: CONCLUSION
