2  Holding the door open for someone and saying thank you when given something. These little acts of kindness can make a big difference in the world around us.

3  When John McCain was imprisoned he was in dire conditions. While he was their he met many people that he befriended. One of them had been their for an extremely long period of time. When the North Vietnamese learned of John’s high ranking they offered to let him go. But instead he told them to let the person who had been imprisoned longest go. He truly put others needs before his own.

4  Friends share a special level of trust between each other. They put the other one before themselves. If there is something important to be done than they know that they can trust one another to get the job done.

5  My mom visits people in nursing homes every week. They get lonely and they begin to feel caged in. They love my moms company and she likes to talk to them to. My mom respects and cares for people who need affection.

6  Pope John Paul II showed enormous amounts of self control. He was shot on May 13, 1981 and was critically wounded. He recovered and talked to his would be assassin in prison. Instead of being angry at him he forgave him.

7  The devotion of love between a married couple is a great example of how this fruit of the spirit is lived out. They both care for each other and would do anything to help the other. They live their lives in joyous love.

8  Joy can is one of the easiest fruits of the spirit to live out. Be happy and thankful for the day that the lord has made. Staying upbeat and showing it will get you far in life.

9  Martin Luther King Jr. Is one of the most well known pacifists in the world and in the united states. He spoke for black rights and did so without the use of violence. He made one of the biggest impacts on our country and can always be looked up to to give a good example of peaceful solutions.

10  Patience is something that everyone can apply to their everyday lives. Whether it is waiting in line or waiting for an important phone call we must settle down and learn that not everything will always go our way and something's we must just wait for them to happen to us.
