3 What are some bad habits that people try to give up? Sin is much worse than a bad habit, it is the relationship breaker between you and God. So when we get baptized we have to give up our life of sin.

4 Romans 6:1-2 Romans 6:1-2 (ncv) So do you think we should continue sinning so that God will give us even more grace? No! We died to our old sinful lives, so how can we continue living with sin? You have ____ to your sinful life.died

5 Romans 6:11-14 Romans 6:11-14 (ncv) In the same way, you should see yourselves as being dead to the power of sin and alive with God through Christ Jesus. So, do not let sin control you in your life here on earth. You must not be ruled by the things your sinful self makes you want to do. Do not offer the parts of your body to serve sin. Do not use your bodies as things to do evil with, but offer yourselves to God.

You have left your old sinful life and the things you did before.

They have given up their old selfish feelings and the evil things they wanted to do. We get our new life from the Spirit, so we should follow the Spirit.
