What China can do improve environmental policies and laws to reduce air pollution? ● Integrate solar energy into transportation and develop more accessible/affordable public transportation O: What is the impact of reducing air pollution on on direct foreign investment? What does China have to gain from improving its environmental reputation internationally? What trade barriers would be lifted by the WTO if environmental standards increased in China? What are the opportunities to introduce clean technologies? ●Changes in energy consumption structures (change from coal to clean energy) ●The development of “green ideology” ( sustainable development, smart growth, green economy etc.) and its apply in policy, urban planning etc. T: What strategies can China develop to address the increased consumption from business as usual? 8 Sustainability Capacity building: In order to maintain quality control and monitor the new leadership, one of our staff members will sit in bi-monthly on leadership team meetings. Pacing: The new leadership team will be selected 6 months before our exit so that they can participate in our leadership meetings and become trained to lead the project further. We will no longer attend bi- monthly leadership team meetings after 1 year post-exit. Scope and Scale: Scope and scale have been built to expand in the certificate program and will build naturally. The scale of the advertisement activities will end naturally after 3 years. We are not interested in continuing activities in this area, as the lasting benefit will be the educaiton provided in a 3-year span via the advertisements and children’s research.

9 Exit Strategy After a 3-year period, we will have created key partnerships with local NGOs, schools, and community members. Both the restaurant owners and glass company will have made a profit in that span of time and will be able to invest more in the continuation of the partnership without our facilitation after 3 years. After 3 years period, partner NGO will adopt this model and continuing this project with their own finance. Scope and Scale: The scale of ads activities will end after 3 years, the lasting benefit will be education provided in a 3-year span via anti-smoking advertisements and children’s research.
