History Leonardo LoCascio, owner and CEO of Winebow Inc., realized that as the popularity of many Italian varietals increased in the United States, so did their prices, often without a comparable increase in quality. Winebow designed Stella (“star” in Italian) to offer a complete line of excellent value wines. All grapes used in the production of Stella wines come from vineyard owners with whom Leonardo has developed a close and trusting relationship over the years.

History All practices in the vineyards follow strict guidelines and only the most modern equipment is employed in the cellars. Stella wines are produced to exhibit true varietal character. In recognition of Winebow’s efforts to deliver the highest quality for the right price, Stella wines have received numerous accolades as "Best Buys" and "Great Value Selections" from food and wine journalists across the U.S.

Chianti DOCG 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot Fermented in stainless steel and refined for eight months in French barriques, this wine delivers a delicious taste of the Tuscan countryside. Layers of tart red cherry, sweet spice and dusty leather. On the palate, the wine offers a slight tannic kick but is well- rounded with juicy, fruity flavors that persist well into the finish. Try this wine with mesquite-grilled poultry or pork, spicy chili or classic lasagna and medium-aged cheeses.

Merlot Terre Siciliane IGT 100% Merlot The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for four months before being bottled. Full, ripe fruit flavors and spicy nuances, all framed by soft tannins. Lack of wood aging emphasizes the fresh fruit forwardness of this wine. Pairs easily with a wide array of foods, from pasta and pizza to roasted poultry and casseroles.

Montepulciano d`Abruzzo DOC 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Aromas of black cherries, strawberries, and herbs, it is dry and mellow with concentrated structure. It is best enjoyed young, in order to fully appreciate its fruity varietal character. Enjoy with typical Italian dishes, red meats, pizza and cheese.

Moscato Sicilia IGT 100% Moscato of Alexandria This straw yellow wine is honey melon flavored with a light scent of white peaches, flowers and tropical fruit. Stella delivers a well balanced acidity and has a long, lingering finish.

Negroamaro Puglia IGT 100% Negroamaro The perfume is complex and intense with hints of ripened fruits and spices. These notes come through on the palate which is dry, harmonious and persistent. Serve with rich appetizers, grilled and braised meat, lamb and cheese.

Nero d`Avola Sicilia IGT 100% Nero d'Avola Over the years, it has been established as the 'emperor' of Sicilian varietals. The final wine captures the essence of Sicily. Supple flavors of wild strawberries and black cherries. The finish is soft, round and appealing, with hints of sweet red berries lingering on the palate and a spicy finish. Serve with fried vegetables, pasta, pizza, red and white meats, cured meats or strong cheeses.

Pinot Grigio Terre Siciliane IGT 100% Pinot Grigio Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and refined for only three months before being bottled and released. Vibrant on the palate with fresh fruit aromas of pears and citrus, and balanced, yet zesty acidity. Light, refreshing, and easy-going. Enjoy as an aperitif, with light hors d’oeuvres, mild cheeses, light pasta dishes and salads.

Primitivo Puglia IGT The vines are grown in the alberello (little bush/tree) style, which provides low yields and excellent concentration. After seven days of maceration with skin contact, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. Aromas of currants, licorice, pepper and spices with a medium body, soft tannins and firm structure. Pairs perfectly with sharp cheeses and spicy salami. It also goes nicely with pancetta, tomato sauce or roasted meats.

Sangiovese Puglia IGT 100% Sangiovese Ripe berry aromas, Stella Sangiovese offers a well- rounded, elegant body. Boasting a bright and pleasant acidity. Pairs well with bruschetta, carpaccio, pastas with tomato sauce, and wild boar meat.

Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC 50% Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and 50% Trebbiano Toscano Fermented under temperature-controlled conditions in stainless steel tanks. Delicate aromas of green apple and flowers, it is smooth, dry, versatile, and always refreshing. Excellent with fish antipasti, pasta with clams, fish-based soups, and other light fares.
