2 Introduction McDonald's Corporation is the world's largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants serving around 68 million customers daily in 119 countries. The business began in 1940, with a restaurant opened by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald in San Bernardino, California

4 Brand story The company began in 1940 as a barbecue restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice McDonald. In 1948 they reorganized their business as a hamburger stand using production line principles. Businessman Ray Kroc joined the company as a franchise agent in He subsequently purchased the chain from the McDonald brothers and oversaw its worldwide growth.

5 Their introduction of the "Speedee Service System" in 1948 furthered the principles of the modern fast-food restaurant . Speedee was eventually replaced with Ronald McDonald by 1967 when the company first filed a U.S. trademark on a clown shaped man having puffed out costume legs. The present corporation dates its founding to the opening of a franchised restaurant by Ray Kroc, in Des Plaines, Illinois on April 15, 1955

6 A McDonald's restaurant is operated by either a franchisee, an affiliate, or the corporation. McDonald's revenues grew 27 percent over the three years ending in 2007 to $22.8 billion, and 9 percent growth in operating income to $3.9 billion. The company has become a symbol of globalization and the spread of the American way of life.

7 Best known products McDonald's predominantly sells hamburgers, various types of chicken sandwiches and products, French fries, soft drinks, breakfast items, and desserts. In most markets, McDonald's offers salads and vegetarian items, wraps and other localized fare.

8 Unique selling point The unique selling point of McDonalds is Ronald McDonald. Children are attracted towards the funny yet cute looking clown positioned outside every McDonald shop. However, there are more than one unique selling points in the recent years.  Quick Delivery service and fun place to eat are a few unique selling points of McDonald’s.

12 Problems faced McDonald's is often the target of criticism for its menu, its expansion, and its business practices. People are always criticizing its environmental, health, and labor record. McDonald's has been involved in a number of lawsuits and other legal cases, most of which involved trademark disputes. The company has threatened many food businesses with legal action unless it drops the Mc or Mac from trading names. McDonald's has defended itself in several cases involving workers' rights. 

13 New endeavors Now, McDonalds has extend a new product line that is McCafe. It is an excellent in-line counter at McDonald’s restaurant and is a coffee outlet that serves premium coffee especially espresso coffee. The unique selling point of McCafe is the new experiences you get for coming at McCafe by offering free Wi-Fi internet ,and all day service .
