2 To enhance and advance education in Neonatal- Perinatal Medicine while fostering community among group members and encouraging active Section membership and participation TECaN Mission

3 Membership Eligibility Members of the AAP ($93 P-RT Member dues)  Who are trainees in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine  Or Early Career Neonatologists within 7 years of completing their fellowship training

4 Structure

5 10 District Representatives (2 year term) Selected by Section on Perinatal Pediatrics District Representative Chair (2 year term) Also serves as representative to Perinatal Section Executive Committee Immediate Past Chair (2 year term) Liaison to Spring Workshop Planning Group, etc. 2 Subcommittee Chairs  Membership/Leadership  Social Media/Communications TECaN Council - 1

6 TECaN Council - 2 ONTPD Representative ( 1 year term)  Represents fellows at meetings of the ONTPD and serves as liaison for TECaN Secretary-Treasurer ( 1 year term)  Responsible for TECaN minutes, budget, and contact lists Liaison positions for SOMSRFT and SOYP

7 Program Representative Roles:  Fellow (with interest in leadership)  Conduit for information and networking between  Maintain an active email list of the fellows Time Commitment:  Minimal (will not interfere with clinical or research goals)

Provide information and resources of interest :  Career development  Job search  Leadership training  Research opportunities  TECaN Research Corner – on TECaN Website  ABP certification and MOC Welcome and engage 3rd year pediatric residents heading into fellowship in N-P medicine

12 Activities - 3 Work with SoPPe Executive Committee and the ONTPD to:  Provide input and feedback on trainee and early- career specific needs and initiatives  Assist in developing educational programming that will enhance leadership skills and foster career development
