2. Station 2 – Map & Compass Demonstrate how to orient the map with the orienteering compass. Do you need to adjust for declination when travelling? Provide the Azimuth reading and estimated distance for travelling from Point 3 to Point 4. 3. Station 3 – First Aid Demonstrate or tell how to treat for the following (use provided materials): Shock Heat exhaustion Choking Severe bleeding to lower arm 1 st degree burn on hand Lower or upper arm fracture

4. Station 4 – Lashings Demonstrate the following lashings using the staves & rope provided: Square Shear Diagonal List examples of where each could be used.

5. Station 5 – Fire Building Demonstrate how to properly build a teepee fire using the materials provided. Demonstrate proper operation of a lightweight stove. Discuss safety procedures for both cooking methods.

6. Station 6 – Camp Tools, Misc. Demonstrate proper handling and care of a knife, bow-saw and ax. Discuss safety procedures for each. Discuss (briefly) the principles of Leave No Trace. Discuss Safe Swim Defense. Name the water rescue methods in proper order
