2 Background Information  To start a literary analysis, provide a brief summary of the text in order to give the reader background information. ● Raise your hand if you can think of important events that took place in Beowulf. ○ ________________________________

3 Background Information  Choose three important facts about the plot in Beowulf  You have 3 minutes to complete the following: ● Fill in the section for: background information by LISTING the three important facts chosen. ○ When finished—go back and add a word using a word from list 41, 42, or 43.
