Common Core Standard W7.9- Write arguments that support claims with clear reasons and relevant evidence

8 Before I Start: I have read the prompt at least 3 times and underlined the most important words. I am sure that my essay addresses the prompt and ANSWERS THE QUESTION. I have filled out my graphic organizer with the main points of my story

9 While I’m Writing: I re-read the prompt from time to time to make sure I’m answering the question. I check my graphic organizer to make sure I’m on track. My introduction uses words from the prompt and begins to answer the question Prompt: Is the American dream real (is it fact or fiction)?
