"Standards for Photovoltaic Array" (Proposal No. GRC-2004-2) Aerospace Report No. TOR-2004(8583)-3557, “Qualification and Quality Requirements for Space-Qualified Solar Panels” has been released on August 4, 2004 to AIAA Pending release of the ECSS E-20-08 document and ITAR release of TOR-2004(8583)-3557, a new ISO Standard will be proposed

4. AIAA Standards development for the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC)  Use AIAA’s existing ANSI-accredited procedures for developing industry consensus standards in each of the identified areas.  Initiate the creation of the new standards based on Technical Operating Reports (TORs) supplied by the SMC  Identify the CoS participants.  Hold a kick-off meeting for the CoS participants to get them started on the task of developing the five standards.
