When entering the classroom, make sure pencils are sharpened and you have paper. Complete the challenge within the 1 st 5 minutes. There should be no talking. Make sure you have all materials needed for class.

Procedures (con’t) You will be dismissed from class by rows to line up in back of the room. You may throw away paper upon leaving class. There is no excuse for being tardy. If you are tardy more than twice, it is a check.

Procedures (con’t) If you need to leave class, raise your hand and I’ll determine if you have permission. Agenda book will be signed. Bring reading binder, reflective journal, paper, pencils, novels to read and agenda books. If you don't have materials, ASK by raising your hand. There will be extra notebook paper and pencils for that day only. YOU are responsible for your own materials. Trash disposal is done upon dismissal from class (put in the trash can as you leave).

Procedures (con’t) Sharpen pencils upon arrival...not during class! You should have 2. If the lead breaks, one will be provided....raise your hand. If you need a tissue, raise your hand, point to your nose. No gum or food is allowed in class. If you receive candy as a reward from another class, ask permission to eat in my class. My desk is off-limits to students. The exception are the staplers on top of my desk.

Procedures (con’t) It is not okay to talk when someone else is speaking. Raise your hand and wait to be called on. Procedures for agenda book are to fill them out on Monday as your challenge. Get them signed to be checked by homeroom teacher on Tuesday during homeroom. Use your agenda for permission to leave class (signed by teacher).

Procedures (con’t) Turn in assignments by passing to the person in the front desk OR last desk (you will be instructed). That person will deposit into the tray on the long table under the Choctaw sign (your period tray is marked on the table). Make up missing assignments as soon as you return to school (within 3 days).

Procedures (con’t) If you do not have a homework assignment, you can make it up during your exploratory class. Missing homework assignments will be found in the class agenda books on the long table (folder under the agenda will hold any papers distributed).
