POWERLESS CHILDREN IN SOUTH AFRICA!!

Introduction! In this power-point, the main Idea is to inform people of the heartache that children of all ages get when their parents died from AIDS. Children are left powerless and also homeless because the loss of family and hope. Some kids have to go to orphanages with their siblings because they have nowhere else to turn to. This will probably remind you of the movie that we all watched, “Hotel Rwanda” Those children lost their families from killings from the genocide, and from diseases such as AIDS. So on that note I hope you enjoy this presentation.

Thesis Children in South Africa are powerless because their parents dies from AIDS, and now they are left alone.

My curious Questions!!!!! How many people are effected by AIDS in South Africa? How many people died? What percentage of the population was lost from AIDS in South Africa? How many kids in South Africa lost their parents and other family from AIDS? If so, how many kids have siblings that have AIDS? Do some kids in South Africa have to go to an orphanage when their parents died, if they don’t have any other family to take care of them? How may kids a day, month, and year are left poor and powerless without knowing how they are going to get through the next day? Well these are all of the questions that I am curious about. How many people are as curious as me?

Cause and Effect The cause is parents are effected by AIDS The effect is the parents leave their children and die witch leave them homeless

Compare and Contrast Children in The United states living healthy and happy vs. Children living in south Africa, powerless and without family. In this I am comparing children in the United States healthy and happy, from children in South Africa who are living alone without knowing how to get through the next day knowing that they will never ever see their parents again, only in spirit.

Young and yet all Alone. This is a picture of a little girl in South Africa who has lost part of her family and is now living in an orphanage. How would you feel if your parents died of AIDS and left you alone an powerless?

Chanda’s Story The basic story about Chanda’s story is about this teenage girl who experiences, death, poverty, and AIDS. Chanda is sixteen years old and makes a lot of decisions with her family like, if her little sister will have a casket and if she is going to have a proper burial
