Main Sikhism book = the Guru Grath Sahib
The Guru Grath Sahib important because written by first Guru= Guru Nahak
Has 974 hymns by the first Guru
There is also gutka = condensed version of Guru Grath Sahib
Contains most popular hymns by Guru Nahak
Both books contain right way to live

7. The Holidays and Festivals that the Sikhs celebrate
Baisakhi = celebrating the Indian harvest season = get together and sing hymns
Diwaili = festival of rights because Guru Har Gobind out of jail
Diwaili = Festival of lights = hundreds of lights, fireworks, and bonfires
Hola Mochalla = Anandpur India = March 17= Guru Gobind used to organized military exercises and mock battles for entertainment = now 1000s attend

8. What traditional Clothing do Sikhs wear?
Men wear turbans
Young men wear small pieces of clothing to cover their hair until they can tie their own turban.
Moms and dads teach their children to tie turbans.
