13. How can Someone Become a Citizen?

Any person born in this country is a United States citizen.
People who move to this country are immigrants and must live in the United States for five years before they can become a citizen.
They must take a test that asks questions about the United States government and American history.

14. How can Someone Become a Citizen?
They have to be able to speak, read and write English.
After they pass the test they must take an oath of loyalty to the United States of America.
Children under 18 whose parents become United States citizens are also United States citizens.
