2 Definitions Hypermedia Lesson Plan has hot links embedded within it for interaction. The InTime lesson plans include links to national standards and links to definitions of terms based on their pedagogical model. Hypermedia-Enhanced means that there has been elaboration of the hypermedia lesson plan. At HyLighter, students annotate the lesson plan connecting it to course concepts and identifying relevant video clips illustrating the connections.

3 Purpose of Project Synthesize ideas from the course as they apply to a particular exemplary lesson. Enhance abilities to make connections between ideas from the course and resources available on the Internet. Demonstrate deep understanding of principles of effective learning, teaching and development.

6 InTime Lesson Choices: Adolescent Learning & Development (Grad & Ugrad) Read the following lesson plans and choose one of them for your project. A. Middle School, Grades 7, 8: Water Quality in Greenhills Stream B. Intermediate School Grades 8, 9: Graphing Linear Equations C. High School Grades 9 – 11: Special Education Assistive Technology in the Writing Process D. High School Grades 9–12: Introduction to Black Studies

7 Probing Questions Tasks (Indiv/Group) Answer probing questions uploaded at the HyLighter site for the 5 identified components of the InTime model: Learning, Information Processing, Democracy, Teacher Knowledge, Teacher Behavior –First do individually, then synthesize as a group. –Answer the pre-video observation questions. –View the lesson videos, at least the 5 required components. –Answer the post-video observation questions.

8 Make Connections Annotate lesson plans at the HyLighter site. First do individually, then synthesize as a group. –Identify and explain connections between ideas in the lesson plan and ideas from our course. –Make links of connections to specific relevant parts of the InTime lesson videos.

12 Culminating Experience Hypermedia-Enhanced Lesson Plans are a performance-based alternative form of course assessment, in lieu of a final exam. Students are graded on: 1.Answers to probing questions 2.Connections and videos identified 3.Class presentation
