Constructivist Beliefs Exploratory, problem centered cooperative learning Students play role in deciding learning tasks Teachers use open-ended questions Scaffold through use of expanded responses, probing questions, and clues Big picture – see connections (dribbling) Connect knowledge to real life Students collectively establish ground rules/norms
1. Engaging students in self-regulated construction of knowledge Application of concepts in individual ways (obstacle course) Allow students to struggle, dont give answers Have students think critically about movement quality through questions instead of just reminding them. Adapted lesson based on student performance.
