Yahweh Probably committed to writing at the time of Solomon but goes back longer as an oral tradition. God is called Yahweh, translated ‘the LORD’. Deuteronomic written down sometime after the reign of King Josiah (640 to 609 BC). Elohim Probably the earliest source God is called Elohim, translated as ‘God’
