Seals By:Sullyn Payamps Their predators include killer whales, sharks, and polar bears. Seals have been living in sea waters for many years. That’s why they’re so adapted to the sea. Seals eat fish, shellfish and also squid. A seal lives in Antarctica and in many other places. Eating fish and hiding from killer whales help seals survive.

Tropical Fish By: Sullyn Payamps Some tropical fish live in Mexico, southern United States, and Africa. Some tropical fish live in Mexico, southern United States, and Africa. Fish eat other fish and other little creatures. Sometimes fish eat seaweed. Fish eat other fish and other little creatures. Sometimes fish eat seaweed. Their predators include seals, bears, cats, and also polar bears. Their predators include seals, bears, cats, and also polar bears.

Killer Whales By: Aleidy Jimenez Killer whales eat seals, squid, plankton, sea grass, sponges, and microscopic tiny organisms in the water. They need salty waters, food, and shelter to survive. Without shelter, they may be in danger of becoming extinct because boats would hit them. They like to be in a good environment, not in global warming.

Dugongs By: Sullyn and Aleidy Dugongs eat sea grass. Dugongs eat sea grass. They also eat little tiny microscopic creatures from the water. They also eat little tiny microscopic creatures from the water. When dugongs are pregnant they stay pregnant for 13 months. When dugongs are pregnant they stay pregnant for 13 months. Dugongs’ predators include sharks. Dugongs’ predators include sharks. They measure up to 3 meters long and weigh up to 300 pounds. They measure up to 3 meters long and weigh up to 300 pounds. Wow! That is so cool!!!

Tiger Sharks The tiger shark’s main food is fish and many eat sting rays, sea snakes, seals, dolphins, conches, sea birds, lobsters and many other species. You might call it an ocean garbage disposal. The tiger shark’s main food is fish and many eat sting rays, sea snakes, seals, dolphins, conches, sea birds, lobsters and many other species. 9 Squid by:Paola Ulerio A squid looks like a long slender octopus. It lives in the bottom of the sea. Predators that eat the small sea squid are large fish and humpback whales. It eats waste from cruises and other boats.

Crab by: Heidy Collado Sea crabs look like sea turtles with claws. Sea crabs live in shallow waters, and they live in low tides. Sea crabs eat coral polpyes, mud, and sand. The predators that eat the sea crab are the halibut, dog fish, scullions, octopi, otters, sea turtles, and other crabs. Sea crabs use their shells and claws to protect them. They need their shells and the sea to survive. Fishermen put sea crabs at risk.

Plankton by:Paola Ulerio Plankton look like a tiny version of a shrimp. They live in all waters of the ocean. Predators that eat plankton are zoo planktons, rock scallops, and most sea creatures. They eat other plankton.

SEA TURTLE BY:DAVID SORIANO Sea turtles eat plankton, jellyfish hatchlings, green algae, and sea grass. They are consumed by sea birds, sharks and crabs. They live in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans.

Sponge by Paola Ulerio Sponges absorb their food through their holes. They eat microspic organisms in the ocean. They live in salty waters. The hawksbill turtles eat sea sponges.

Sea grass by:Paola Ulerio Sea grass is located in the costal waters of most continents. Manatees, dugongs and green sea turtles eat sea grass.
