3 Decisions & Recommendations 23rd Meeting of the UNAIDS Programme Coordinating Board Geneva, Switzerland. 15-17 December 2008 “Requests UNAIDS to accelerate its work on … lesbians, gays, bi- sexuals, and transgenders with the meaningful engagement of those communities as well as people living with HIV” “Requests UNAIDS to prepare a progress report for the 24th Programme Coordinating Board Meeting detailing the work of the UNAIDS Secretariat and Cosponsors in assisting countries in… needs assessments for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, separately emphasizing country level action, as well as follow-up actions, including the establishment of an inter-agency strategy…”

10 More/ Immediate / Better MSM is an important niche if countries are to delivery on Universal Access 2010 & MDG 2015 GFATM: Sexual Minorities & Gender is a key focus for Round 8< Regional Networks: Asia Pacific Coalition on MSM / Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Network / Pan African MSM Network Joint statement: 18/12/08, 66 nation joint statement in the General Assembly, –“promote & protect Human Rights of all, regardless of sexual orientation & gender identity”
