2 Week 5Do Now 1 Sunday, October 12th, 2014  Question: Answer the following in at least 3 complete sentences.  1. Why is it important to do the best you can on your MAP tests this week and next week?

3  SIT QUIETLY- I will choose quiet students as helpers  BE SURE TO WRITE YOUR NAME ON EVERY PAPER!!

4 Reminder: Participation Grade  -You all had a grade of 100 for participation at the beginning of the class  -Each time you break a class rule, -4 points will be subtracted from the grade.  -What will your grade be at the end of class today.

5 Your class work grade for today (all on the same piece of paper)  -Your Do Now  -A question you answer after your see your speech grades  -An exit ticket, a picture that you draw on the back of the paper

6 Reminder… -Missing work is hurting your grade -Your participation grade is hurting your grade, but it should help -Always hand in things on time. -Always write your name- if you do not

7 If you are missing work… -You need to come to my office hours after school on MONDAY -If you would like to come to my office hours please sign up (see list)

8 MAP Testing What is it? When is it? What subjects? Why is it important?

9 The 5 W’s  Who?  Why?  What?  Where?  When?  How?

10 Procedure for Wednesday  -Come to this class as normal.  -You do not need to bring your speech binder or material.  -Once attendance is taken, and everyone is quiet, we will go to the computer lab for testing together  -I will still be monitoring you for participation points grade throughout the MAP testing.

11 Hand back graded work  -Place the graded work in your graded work section of your binder  -On your speeches: I have written comments. You need to read these. Then, on the piece of paper of yoru do now answer:  -What will I try to do better for public speaking in the future?
