8  A transcript is like a report card, it shows your grades and percentages in each class. There is nothing on the high school transcript at this time. The first time something will appear on the transcript will be in December (at the end of the first semester).  Middle school report cards promote students to high school and is seldom referred to again.  High school transcript are submitted to colleges, employment agencies, military personnel and technical schools.

9  At the end of each semester/year your student will receive a weighted and un-weighted GPA (Grade Point Average).  An un-weighted GPA is based on a 4.0 scale: A = 4.0 B = 3.0 C= 2.0 D= 1.0 F=0  A weighted GPA gives you an extra point for each advanced class that you take. For each grade that you receive in an advanced class, you get an extra point. (ie: A=5.0; B=4.0; C=3.0; D=1.0; F=0)
