If you cannot log-in contact your STS.

2 utah.truenorthlogic.com Click on “My Profile” at the top and make sure your e-mail (and everything else is correct. Click on “Save”. You can e-mail your information to yourself too. A GSD search for “Professional Learning” will bring up more information. If you cannot log-in contact your STS.

3 After you log in… Welcome, Educator Standards… Click on them to see what they are… Self Assessment – You get to rate yourself on many teaching qualities base on the “Educator Standards” you just read. Okay, so I need to update mine!

4 1.Click on Professional Growth Plan 2.Click on the “Create New Plan” button.

5 1. Give it a title and a year so you know when they are from. (Name year) 2.You must chose the only “Plan Type”. 3. And, yes share it with your mentor. 4.Scroll down and click on the “Next” button. Then on the following screen… 5.Change your target proficiency levels you need to by clicking on the drop down menus. (I never change mine ;) ) 6.Scroll all the way to the bottom and click on “Next This button is way at the bottom!

6 Click on “Create Goal” Some Tidbits… If at anytime you get a pop-up message like I did…. Read and do what it says! Once you get started at any time you can “Review (your) Plan” by… yup clicking that button. The whole process is really pretty logical. Create a Plan, create Goal(s) to accomplish your Plan, create Activity(ies) to reach your goal(s). If you ever get a button that says “Save Changes” Yup – Save ‘em!

7 Fill it out as what you “PLAN” to do. Lots of arrows here but it is easy. Just fill it out. Most principals want at least 2 goals but you can add another one later. I am choosing “Save Goal and Return”. 1.I called my Goal “Whatever you plan to do this year to better yourself” (I will delete it later! 2.Now that you have a “Goal”. What are your activities that will help you reach that Goal? 3.Click on “Create Activity” (This is the next page - after clicking “Save Goal and Return”)

8 Fill it out! 1.Do not click on “completed” yet. You will do this at the end of the year. 2.Be sure to click the “Drop Down” and pick the correct category! 3.Click on the calendar and chose a date. 4.The rest explains itself 5.At this time it would be easier to add another Activity while you are thinking about this goal.

9 Add your other Goals and Activities the exact same way. When you are finished you can; 1.E-mail your plan by clicking on the “Email Plan” button. (You must know your mentors Email address.) Or 2.Print it (By clicking on “Printer Friendly View”) (Do you really need it printed?) Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom and click on Done. And do not forget to “Sign Out” Remember that you can ALWAYS log back in and edit it. Yes, this was quick and to the point. This.ppt is not an end-all. It is to get you the basics during a training session. This is the same place to register for prof. dev. classes. (Click the Profession Learning and Professional Development Tabs).
