1 Welcome to Parent Night! Mrs. Butts’s Class 4 th Grade

2 4-H in 4 th Grade!  We are very excited about our in-school 4-H club.  There will be many activities that we will be doing throughout the year!  More information about this program will be sent home at a later date.

3 FIELD TRIP!!! MONTGOMERY BOUND!!! We will be attending Montgomery in the Spring for a field trip. More information coming soon!!!

4 FORMS  Please remember to send ALL forms back ASAP  Lunch Form/ can be completed ONLINE!!  Lunch Form/ can be completed ONLINE!!  Health Form  Title One/ Parent Form  Check –Out Form  4 th Grade Discipline Policy  I can get your forms notarized for you, IF you sign the form in front of me tonight!!!

5 STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED CELL PHONES IN SCHOOL!

6 ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT!!!!  After 4 parent notes from a student (per semester) a professional excuse will be required for any future absences. Notes should be sent within 2 days of the absence.

7 TRUANCY  First unexcused-Letter to parents  Second unexcused- Conference with parents  Third unexcused-Request for Service to Attendance Officer  Fourth unexcused-Attendance Officer notified again  Fifth unexcused-Petition filed against parent/or guardian of student.

8 Lunch Prices NO TEA THIS YEAR  All Grades $1.85  Visitors $3.00  JUICE $0.75 Students will be limited to borrowing $7.50 from the office, before repaying the loans from the principal’s office.

9 IMPORTANT!!!!!!!  Please make sure you have an ACCURATE phone number on file with the school. The school has an automated messenger system to send out important information such as school closings, delays, etc!!!

10 What Can I do to help my child?  Check your child’s homework folder every night. Graded papers go home daily.  Keep a close eye on graded papers.  Read to your child nightly and have your child read to you.  Talk with your child daily about his or her school experiences, successes, and worries.  Grades that are circled were recorded in the grade book.
