1 Bell Ringer: Good Morning! Please take a seat at the table that has a table tent that matches the color of the card you received as you entered. Quietly take a survey form from the pile in the center of your table. Complete the survey, then quietly wait for further instructions.

7 Activity 1: Surveys of Favorite Things First… Turn over the survey that you completed upon entry. Then… Quietly share your information with your teammates. I will raise three fingers if you are getting too loud. You should then lower your voices. You will have ten minutes for this activity.

8 Activity 2: Team Building Determine what you have in common as team members. Create a name for your team. Create a logo for your team. Create a slogan for your team. Place name, logo and slogan on poster paper that I will bring around. Use the markers in the basket in the center of your table to create your team poster.

16 Activity 3: Getting Organized As a team, you will: Make a list of strategies that would support the key element of organization. Place the list on poster paper that I will give you. Be prepared to explain how the strategies provide support for classroom management.

18 Activity 4: Staying Consistent As a team: Read the scenario that you were just given. Devise a 1-2 minute skit that demonstrates how this scenario might play out in the classroom. Each team member must contribute. You have 10 minutes to prepare. Begin now.

20 Trust Building If you were asked to fall backwards with the assurance that someone would catch you, would you do it? Under what circumstances?

21 Activity 5: Building Trust As a team: One team member should select a topic from the grab bag that has been placed on your group table. This person should read the topic, then explain how doing what is described would help to build trust with students. Pass the bag clockwise, having each team member follow the above direction until all topics have been discussed.

22 Scavenger Hunt The importance of seating charts Passing out papers efficiently Lesson variety Teacher demeanor Tier I management interventions Teacher positioning for conferring with students Sample procedures for lavatory use Using the classroom management manual that you are being given, hunt for the topics on the list to the right. When you have finished, remain quiet and raise your hand.

23 Wrapping Up Reflection Turn to your neighbor and share two strategies that were discussed today that you might put into practice tomorrow. When I give you the quiet signal (raised hand), get quiet and complete your exit pass. Exit Pass On a sheet of paper, write one strategy that you will commit to trying this week. Put your name on the paper. After straightening your group area, picking up trash, and placing your chair under the desk, quietly exit, placing your exit pass in the basket near the door and trash in the trash can.
