7 Impact on human activity  The many small communities in this ecozone rely on resource extraction industries such as forestry and mining.  Major industrial developments include logging, mining and hydroelectric development.  Not very many people live there because of the harsh weather condtions.  The many small communities in this ecozone rely on resource extraction industries such as forestry and mining.  Major industrial developments include logging, mining and hydroelectric development.  Not very many people live there because of the harsh weather condtions.
