 Question: True or False. Can a revision request have a spring effective date?  Answer: False. All revision requests must have a fall effective date, to align with the Undergraduate Bulletin and a student’s catalogue year.

 Question: What is the character limit for the long course title?  Answer: 100 characters, including spaces.

 Question: Will requests for current or past terms be accepted?  Answer: No, you must use a future effective date.

 Question: Can you submit a second request for the same course before the first request becomes effective?  Answer: No. However, the system allows you to bypass the error message you receive, but please do not submit!

 Question: There are two places/fields to put pre/corequisite information. The first is the “Pre/Corequisites” field on the Offerings tab. Where is the second place?  Answer: At the beginning of the long course description.

 Question: True or False. The following prerequisite statement is correct: “Prerequisite, an advanced BIOL course”  Answer: False. A “prerequisite” is a course subject and catalog number only. Other required preparation or permission statements should be included in the long description.

 Question: True or False. A new undergraduate course must have a course syllabus.  Answer: True. Do not submit a request if you don’t have a syllabus.

 Question: True or False. Revising the credit hours for a course requires a syllabus.  Answer: False. The curriculum committee does not need to review a syllabus for this type of request.

(Adding a component does not require an additional course request.)

 Question: What tab does the “Submit” button appear on?  Answer: The course summary tab. “Saving” a transaction does not submit the request.

 Question: Once a course request has been submitted for approval, can the course submitter make further edits?  Answer: No. But the dept-approver can edit the request before approving.
