3 Things You Need to Know Have a Positive Attitude about Science Ask Questions Science is Fun Science is Easy Science is Not Hard Have an Open Mind and Give Your Self the Opportunity to Learn Everything About Science

4 What Mr. Jones Wants You to Improve On I want you to Improve on How you think about Science Science can help you understand things around You Ask Questions about the Topics we are covering and I can make science easy Build Confidence in Yourself

5 Before Class Begins  Put Book Sacks in the Back of Class  Make Sure Your Homework is In the Correct Box with Your Period on it  Make Sure You are in Your Seat before the Tardy Bell Rings if Not You Can Get A Tardy  Make Sure You are Ready to Work: Pencils are Sharpen and Books Out.  Pick Up Your Starter Sheets

6 When Bell Rings Read the Daily Task on the Board, so you Know what Will be Covered for the Day Starter Start Your Starter on the Board Make Sure to Check if You Have Homework if so Write Your Homework Down

7 Passing in Papers When in Rows Pass Papers Down the Rows to the Left End of the Row. When in Groups Place Papers in the Center of the table or Teacher will ask for them

8 Passing in Test and Quizzes Fold paper the long way or Hot-Dog Way Write Name, Date, Period on the outside of paper.

9 Classroom Work Layout On your paper you will need to TITLE the work. TITLE will be found on worksheets or ask Teacher Make Sure You Write Your Name, Date, and Period on Right top of Paper

10 Students Expectations Everyone Attend MY Class Participate and Complete ALL your Work: Homework, Learning Stations, Projects, and Notebooks, and other stuff Follow School Rules and My Classroom Rules Have the Best Attitude and Behavior Every DAY (Smile) ;)

11 Classroom Rules LISTEN and Follow Directions the First Time Keep hands, feet, and objects to Yourself Respect others: NO Swearing, Cussing, Teasing, or NAME CALLING Be in your Seat when the Bell Rings for Instructions Bring all Materials to Class Obtain permission before speaking or leaving your seat

12 Tardies and Restroom Use the restroom between classes Be in you seat before tardy bell rings or you will go and get a tardy

13 Sleeping Teacher will POP a balloon to keep students attention if they repeatedly put their heads down on the table during class after he instructs them not to. IF I CAN NOT SLEEP YOU CAN NOT SLEEP PS DON’T TRY ME Doing Your Work is the only thing You Should be doing

14 Learning Stations Learning Stations are Important!!! LS will help You to Understand What I want you as a Student to Learn in my Class LS will help You build on Vocabulary, Key Concepts, and What the State of NC feel important for you as a student to learn

15 Materials For Class Notebook Pencil or BLUE or Black Ink Loose Leaf Paper Coloring Pencils because we will Color A lot Calculators (Required) Something Cheap (If You cant buy it bring me a dollar and I will purchase one for you) Extra Credit

16 How to Study for My Class Read Vocabulary Words Read the Selected Passages Read Notes DO HOMEWORK Important: DO HOMEWORK ASK QUESTIONS
