2 The Physical Appearance of a baby Harp seal Baby Harp Seals have big eyes, whiskers, a black nose, white fur and eyebrows.

3 Habitat of Seals Harp seal live in Artic or Antarctic areas. Some seals live in Scotland like gray seals. Common seals like the rocky places. Elephant seals like the rocky island shores.

4 A Seals Family A family of seals is called a phocaid. All seals like to play with their family by swimming and going on top of each other.

5 All About Harp seals Spend most of their time swimming and diving. A lot of Harp seals live in the far north. Adult Harp seals are silvery-gray. Harp seals are also called saddleback seals. Full grown, they can be about 5 ½ feet long and weigh up to 300 pounds. Has lots of white on it. Is able to reproduce when it is between 5 and 7 years of age.

6 Predators and Prey Predators A Harp seal’s predators are polar bears, sharks (deadly) and orcas (killer whale). Prey A Harp seal’s prey are fish, shrimp and sometimes eats krill.

7 What do seals do all day? Harp Seals They swim and find food to eat, sometimes they go hunting. They dive in the water.

8 A Seal’s Food Seals are carnivores (a meat eater). A Northern Elephant seal eats squid. Leopard seals eat penguins.
