Have you ever seen a killer whale? In this report I will tell you about a killer whale. I will tell you what a killer whale looks like, where it lives and what it eats. I will also tell you some interesting facts about a killer whale.

This is what a killer whale looks like. Killer whales are black and white. They have a tall dorsal fin, and they also have a flipper on each side of them. They have very sharp teeth. Killer whales can grow up to 30 feet long.

This is where a killer whale lives. Killer whales are found in all types of oceans, from the frigid Arctic and Antarctic regions to tropical seas.

This is what a killer whale eats. Killer whales mostly eat fish, but sometimes they hunt other mammals such as squid, seals, sea lions, walruses, sea birds, penguins, and dolphins. But a killer whale can also eat other kinds of whales.

Here are some interesting facts about a killer whale. A killer whale can live up to 50 years in the wild. An adult male can grow up to 27 feet long, but a female can get up to 22 feet long. A killer whale is in the dolphin family. Killer whales are called Orcas and babies are called calves. Calves at birth weigh about 400 lbs. and are about 8 feet long. Some orcas can reach up to 11 tons. Orcas travel in groups which are called pods. You can find pods of 30 or more whales at a time. Whales use echolocation to hunt their prey. Echolocation means bouncing sound off of objects to determine their location. Orcas have been around for 11 million years. There are three to five types of Orcas. Killer whales can reach up to max speed of 35 mph. They have good senses of touch, eye sight, and excellent hearing.

In this report I have told you about a killer whale. I told you what a killer whale looks like, where it lives, and what it eats. I also told you some interesting facts about a killer whale. I hope you learned a lot about a killer whale.
