3 How do we get our workforce to recognise change?
Why do we need POWRA? Many accidents and incidents are result from a change to the planned methodology (Work Package Plan) e.g.: Differing site conditions Alternative plant/equipment Alternative resources When we investigate these accidents and incidents we found that change had not been recognised. How do we get our workforce to recognise change?

4 POWRA Behaviour Safety and Productivity are equally important
Safety is an absolute everything else can be prioritised

5 POWRA Safety 365 - Target Zero
No Incidents The Perfect Day Used to emphasise that the business wants all of the above everyday, however in the event that that is not possible we can afford to disappoint our client, we can afford to miss delivery but we cannot and must not compromise on safety. This can be used at all levels from operatives who customer may be their supervisor to yourselves and above. Delivery Customer Profitable Satisfied

6 What is a POWRA? It is: A final check made by the gang before starting work Confirmation that all agreed controls are in place A means of empowering the workforce to take ownership of their work area A route to seek revisions to an approved method of work
