2  ¿Cuál?  ¿Cuáles?  ¿Quién?  ¿Quiénes? Singular vs. plural Why do you think we have two words that look similar? Can you figure out when we use each one?

3  ¿Cuánto?  ¿Cuántos?  ¿Cuánta?  ¿Cuántas? Agreement The interrogative word “cuánto” will change to reflect the noun that you are asking about.

4 { Qué vs. Cuál When you should use each. It is sometimes said that qué is closer to "what" in meaning, and cuál is closer to "which.”. In English those two words are interchangeable but in Spanish we use each for different reasons.

5 Qué vs. Cuál  Qué is used when asking for definitions. ¿Qué es una ciudad? What is a city?  Qué normally is most often used before nouns ¿De qué color es la camisa? What color is the shirt?  Qué has some common idiomatic uses ¿Qué hora es? What time is it?  Cuál usually is used before es and other forms of ser when not seeking a definition ¿Cuál es tu número de teléfono? What is your phone number?  Cuál is used to suggest a selection or choice from among a group ¿Cuál miras? Which one are you looking at? But,
