2 Recap Objective: Develop Goals, Strategies, & Tactics to advance goals of NEM through use of Social Tech Relevance, Integration, Professional Development and Interaction, Financial Viability, Must Attend, +remote access Over 100 participants from TC/PC leadership and AIAA staff Comprehensive written report with attachments has been generated and submitted to TAC. 2

4 4 Data Analysis – Common Themes Three main themes emerged from analysis of TAC workshop data Social media –Easiest to implement because it is inexpensive and readily available. AIAA is making progress toward Social Media goals Program improvement –AIAA is adding functionality to the new 2014 Forum websites which will allow for easier integration of goals Remote access –Currently ad hoc. Strategy under development.

Need for remote access. AVIATION 2013 & SPACE 2013 In planning

9 9 Looking Ahead 2014 Forums AIAA staff evaluating overarching technology requirements for future forums to enable use of new tools to increase engagement and collaboration Recommendations from TAC workshop report and test-bed activities will be used in decision making Remote access recommendation considered critical given current government travel restrictions and industry cost cutting. –Multiple options are being explored. –A business plan and strategy will be developed and implemented in near term
