13 Subcommittees Membership (Aaron Blevins) 641 Professional (292), Student (253), Educators Associates (96) Educators Associate Membership Drive Obtained brochure for EA membership to be sent to program directors at UCF, UF, and USF later this week 2/10 and will be followed with a brief phone call early next week 2/14 to answer any questions Membership Education Meeting Planning an AIAA membership resource education meeting during 2 nd quarter of 2011 Started communication with Chris Jessee and the creation of the presentation material Currently planning for me (Aaron Blevins) to present the material Membership welcome kit/ packet Do we want a section logo (If yes, I can take actions to inquire about a Full Sail challenge/ competition)
15 Subcommittees Young Professionals (Tom Bargnesi) Scholarship: UCF and UF each will receive $500 Ts and Cs (ideas) AIAA Student Membership for minimum of one year (2nd year dues paid) and must be a member through the academic year of the scholarship. Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in an aerospace program at UCF or UF Face-to-face interview with University Chapter officer (rubric) faculty advisor GPA requirement 3.6/4.0, with unofficial transcripts Submit an essay ( words on Career Goals) 3 letters of recommendation Student branch requirement, community service involvement Note: This is separate from the scholarships offered by HQ and the AIAA Foundation Accept applications in the Fall, award in spring Scholarship is not renewable (and does not have to be awarded) Note: To be extended to incoming freshmen the following year
