13 Mindsets Based on decades of research by Carol Dweck, on motivation and success. Two mindsets – Growth & Fixed People who believe intelligence or ability is fixed often avoid challenges, are afraid of making mistakes, and often give up. People with a growth mindset believe that intelligence and ability can improve with effort, and are more likely to work hard, accept mistakes, and find success. We want to promote a Growth Mindset, praising process, and embracing mistakes as a sign of learning. Parent Handout
