3. Wellness and Physical Education Programs rated Recognized All students at Russell Elementary participated in wellness and physical activities such as walks and rides, CATCH, FitnessGram and Field Day. Russell Elementary

4. Community and Parental Involvement rated Recognized Community and parental involvement are key to Russell’s success. 5. 21 st Century Workforce Development rated Recognized Students enjoyed the activities conducted through the 21 st Century Workforce Development program. Students had the opportunity to visit our local university and learn about many others. Russell Elementary

6. Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Exemplary In order to prevent student drop out, Russell Elementary offered several accelerated instruction programs to our at-risk students. Intervention strategies were in place to help the students that needed it the most. Most importantly, the magnitude of attending a college or university was stressed to the students. 7. Second Language Acquisition Program Exemplary Cultural awareness is essential at Russell. Our students are given the opportunity to learn and experience different cultures and traditions from all over the world. Russell Elementary

8. Digital Learning Environment rated Recognized Communication between parents and teachers is key to a student’s success. At Russell we also communicate with our parents digitally through e-mail, websites, School Messenger, etc. Russell Elementary
