9. Cell Membrane
Separates the inside of the cell from the external environment and controls the flow of materials in and out of the cell.

Inside of the cell, contains sugars, water and other life supporting substances. Also, contains all the organelles.

11. Mitochondria
Energy is released from glucose (sugar) to fuel cell activities.

12. Endoplasmic Reticulum
A network of channels that help transport materials made in the cell. Connected to the nucleus.

13. Golgi Body
Sorts and packages proteins and other molecules for transport out of the cell.

14. Nucleus
Controls all cell activities.

15. Vacuoles
Contain water and other materials. Also aid in maintaining structure and transporting small molecules.

16. Cell Wall (plants only)
Tough and rigid. Outside cell membrane. Supports the cell.

17. Chloroplast (plants only)
Traps energy from the sun  makes glucose (photosynthesis)  glucose broken down in mitochondria  powers cell activities.
