2. Modeling the Design Step 1Step 1 –draw out the layout in pencil on the base board –Show the outline of all walls and doors –Use a scale of 1:25 (1 foot equals 10 mm)

3. Modeling the Design Step 2Step 2 –draw on the foam board a cut line for the wall height of 8’ (or 80 mm on the model) –then cut out all walls to the required length

4. Modeling the Design Step 3Step 3 –cut out all entrances and doors to a height of 6’-8” (or 68 mm on the model) –when cutting doors, cut only through the foam layer to allow for the paper surface to act as a hinge on one side

5. Modeling the Design Step 4Step 4 –Cut and place all flooring on baseboard –Use fabric for carpet or textured paper for flooring

6. Modeling the Design Step 5Step 5 –paint walls a desired color (2 coats may be necessary) –glue wall paper on walls with a desired print

10. Modeling the Design Step 9Step 9 –use the hot melt glue gun to attach the walls, the baseboards and door frames

11. Modeling the Design Step 10Step 10 –clean up any blemishes (paint, wall paper, flooring, wall size and shape) –add counter tops and any furnishing as desired
