4 Copyright 2004Connected Vehicle Trade Association™ 4 Connected Vehicle Stakeholders Map Infrastructure Vehicle Communications Applications The four primary domain stakeholders in the development framework are: Communications Infrastructure Vehicle (OEM & suppliers) Applications (and Services) It is the area of the domain overlaps that is the development space of the Vehicle to Infrastructure Integration Initiative

5 Copyright 2004Connected Vehicle Trade Association™ 5 Connected Vehicle Stakeholders Map Vehicle Comm VII Infra-Comm In-Vehicle Systems Servers & Backhaul Every domain overlaps with every other domain in one, two and three areas of congruence These sub-domains have additional public and private entities that are not presently engaged in the process. Without involvement of all the stakeholders we will be unable to develop a robust and sustainable plan.

Primary, secondary and collateral stakeholders need to be involved from both the public and private side to craft a robust set of implementation and operational policies

Many of the stakeholders are The same, but many are not. Examples include the insurance and vehicle repair and service industries

An adequate governance Must involve all levels of government
