9 Hudson-Mohawk Section FY13 Status Update: MBF Score, Spring DLC Goals Status & Future Plans Hudson-Mohawk's FYE-12 Merit-Based Funding Score: 90%. FYE-13 Chair Reported: 87%. Working well FYE-13: Collaboration with Student Sections & Well- Funded Sister Societies (Particularly, Union College, AIAA, AEE, IEEE, Local Maker's Chapter, GE Research); Growth in number and activity of Executive Committee volunteers: "fresh-blood" for Ex-Comm succession. UPDATE: "Two Things We Wish to Accomplish as Section FYE-13": 1. Create new Student Section at local community college HVCC (Troy) to help defray student-related event costs : Attempted, but no luck w/ student- volunteer at HVCC; Sponsored-event fundraising may be a better way to go. 2. Have event honoring local ASME Fellows and long-time ASME members: Done! H-M's Most Significant Challenge FYE-14: SOME PROGRESS MADE FYE-13 -> Recruiting trustworthy & competent volunteers to act as FYE- 14 Section Chair, Treasurer and Webmaster (Succession Planning). 9
