4 Section Meeting Items Use Section Meetings to communicate professional development content to the Section members. One or two meeting each year dedicated to professional development of the members. Invited speaker to present a topic if interest: –Ethics –Communications –Presentation Skills –Leadership Skills –Negotiating Skills –Management Skills Award Professional Development credits (need to verify on a country by country basis

5 Member Professional Activities Conferences (MPAC) Evening, half-day, or full-day event Two to five invited speakers, use local speakers when possible Include social event as part of the program Invite students to participate Award Professional Development credits (need to verify on a country by country basis

6 Student Professional Activities Conferences (SPAC) –Student Branches plan, organize & implement working with the Section for support –One-day conference –Gain valuable management experience and self- confidence  Professional Awareness issues  Career Growth and Working  Professional Ethics and Social Responsibility  Self-Management  The Importance of a Professional Society

7 Student Professional Activities Conferences (SPAC) –Gain insight into topics pertinent to your career such as financial planning, career growth and entrepreneurship –Become aware of IEEE network of volunteer officers, assistance and funding available for student activities –Marko Delimar and John Paserba are co-chairs of IEEE Student Professional Awareness Activities (SPAA) on the MGA Student’s Committee – or j.paserba@ieee.org>
