2 How We Got Here Discussions with many PEP members, exchange of emails Experiences with BS donor and national staff in Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda and Bolivia Many references and products being used across donors and sectors (e.g., health, HIV-AIDS, Env) Built upon recently developed BS guidance across donors Balance between general and more specific information Difficulty in keeping simple and short with a pull towards more details from actual BS processes End Result – Practical compromise
3 What Does It Do Approach designed for a General BS process Series of steps tied to progressive BS preparation Simple language Annex with Checklists to help non-environmental specialist orient and ask appropriate questions Some additional details for more specific environmental insights and orientation Indications when environmental expertise is needed
4 Where Do We Go Next Take Guidance to Field, looking to use in one country Early prospects Uganda and Mozambique Desire to partner with other interested donors and in country staff Welcome all comers!!!
